I received a Bachelors Degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1980 and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut in 1983. In 2004 I completed the Advanced Training Program in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (see bostonpsychoanalytic.org). I practiced psychotherapy in the New Hampshire Mental Health System from 1983 to 1992, and have been in private practice since then. As part of my practice I have also provided psychotherapy in a psychiatric hospital setting, in the emergency room, and at private boarding schools.
